Water consumed for commercial and residential use in the South Farmingdale Water District (SFWD) is delivered via six plant sites and 11 water wells located throughout the territory served. We also maintain 3.2 million gallons of stored water in three in-ground tanks and one elevated tank. We provide uninterrupted service to over 44,700 people within an area of 5.4 square miles.
All water provided by The District is drawn from aquifers located 400–600 feet below ground level and is monitored and tested routinely using the most stringent protocols available.
